To provide a method for quickly and efficiently achieving rejuvenescence of aged body cells using chemical compounds.SOLUTION: The inventors have found that, through screening of various chemical compounds, polyamine has the most excellent effect of extension of telomere of body cells. However, the inventors simultaneously have found that, when polyamine is added and cultivation is performed, apoptosis is induced and cell death occurs, and the effect cannot be achieved by only polyamine. Then, as a result of further zealous efforts for solving these problems, the inventors have found that, when adding proper density of polyamine at which, telomerase gene is activated, a chemical compound group for inhibiting apoptosis is also added and cultivation is performed, aged body cells are quickly rejuvenated. According to the method of the invention for rejuvenating cells, search and treatment of diseases can be achieved efficiently, with a wide application range.SELECTED DRAWING: None【課題】本発明は、老化した体細胞を、化合物を用いて迅速かつ高効率に若返らせる方法の開発を課題とする。【解決手段】本発明者は、様々な化合物のスクリーニングを通じて、ポリアミンが体細胞のテロメアを伸長する効果に最も優れていることを発見した。しかし、本発明者は、ポリアミンを添加して培養すると、アポトーシスが誘発され細胞死を起こすという問題点があり、ポリアミン単独では効果が得られないことも、それと同時に見いだした。そこで、この問題を解決すべくさらに鋭意努力を進めた結果、テロメラーゼ遺伝子を活性化するのに適切な濃度でポリアミンを添加する際に、アポトーシスを阻害する化合物群を添加して培養すると、老化した体細胞が迅速に若返ることを発見し、本発明に至った。本発明の方法を利用して細胞を若返らせれば、病気の研究や治療などに有効利用することが可能であり、その応用範囲は極めて広い。【選択図】なし
