PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a puncture adapter for an ultrasonic probe which steadily holds a puncture needle so that the puncture needle is not easily disengaged from a guide section when the puncture needle is intended not to be released.SOLUTION: The adapter includes a holder section which can be attached to the ultrasonic probe, a base section 7 which combines with the holder section and includes a V-shaped groove 8, and a clip section 9 having a V-shaped projection 10 corresponding to the V-shaped groove 8, wherein the puncture needle is held between the V-shaped groove 8 and the V-shaped projection 10, and the puncture needle can slide in a direction of the groove of the V-shaped groove 8.
