PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric lawn mower, capable of controlling the pruning height of lawn steplessly and smoothly moving a height adjustment member.SOLUTION: The height adjustment member 4 is provided with an elongated hole 18 extending obliquely upward as it goes backwards and a rack 16 extending along the elongated hole 18. A shaft 20 penetrating the interior of the elongated hole 18 is fitted to the body 2, and the shaft 20 is provided with a pinion 22 coaxial with the shaft 20. The pinion 22 meshes with the rack 16, so that the pinion 22 is rotated by rotating the shaft 20 and the rack 16 follows up to move the height adjustment member 4 in parallel obliquely up and down.
