An apparatus and an associated method are disclosed for treating vestibular, ocular or central impairment. The apparatus comprises a headset, a mobile computer device having a computer processor, at least one camera and a display screen, a case adapted to hold the mobile computing device and to attach to the headset, an optical arrangement associated with the case and an application associated with the processor, whereby the application and the processor are adapted to display at least one stimulation exercise on the screen using virtual reality. The method includes placing the headset on the head of a user, displaying the stimulation exercise on the screen, determining a response and providing a modified exercise of a different degree of difficulty based on the determined response.L'invention concerne un appareil et un procédé associé permettant de traiter une atteinte du système nerveux central, oculaire ou vestibulaire. L'appareil comprend un casque de tête, un dispositif informatique mobile ayant un processeur informatique, au moins une caméra et un écran d'affichage, un boîtier conçu pour recevoir le dispositif informatique mobile et se fixer au casque de tête, un agencement optique associé au boîtier et une application associée au processeur, l'application et le processeur étant adaptés pour afficher au moins un exercice de stimulation sur l'écran à l'aide d'une réalité virtuelle. Le procédé comprend le positionnement du casque de tête sur la tête d'un utilisateur, l'affichage de l'exercice de stimulation sur l'écran, la détermination d'une réponse et la fourniture d'un exercice modifié d'un degré de difficulté différent sur la base de la réponse déterminée.
