The present invention relates to the administration of a combination of one or more peptides comprising a particular sequence of TGF- [beta] and [beta] -lactoglobulin. The peptide is hypoallergenic, but retains the ability to induce tolerance to natural proteins. The combination of TGF- [beta] and one or more of these peptides has a therapeutic effect, inducing and maintaining oral tolerance to the newly introduced protein, especially at the time of the induction.
