PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an amino acid supplement preparation for chronic renal failure having improved easiness to take by efficiently masking abnormal taste and smell such as bitter taste of amino acids.
SOLUTION: The oral amino-acid preparation having improved easiness to take contains amino acid granules containing branched chain amino acids consisting of isoleucine, leucine and valine at weight ratios of 1/(1.2-2.0)/(1-1.2) and further containing lysine hydrochloride, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan and histidine hydrochloride, and the preparation further contains sucrose and a purified stevia extract as sweeteners and menthol and citrus flavor as flavors. Especially, the oral amino-acid preparation has a total amino acid content of 2,000-2,400 mg and a branched chain amino acid content of 700-800 mg.
