PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cut flower keeping extension device which can extend a keeping period of a cut flower in a state when the cut flower is cut for a long period, and which can contribute to the ornamental flower industry for distributing the cut flower as a fresh cut flower, wherein, as all materials are oxidized by contacting oxygen, a vacuum state is not produced but nitrogen gas is jetted for separating the cut flower from oxygen, growth of the flower is stopped, and the cut flower can be kept in a hibernation state without reduction of freshness and deterioration of dye.SOLUTION: A cut flower and a small amount of lime are sealed in a sealed bag, air is vented therefrom and nitrogen gas is jetted therein for exchanging air and the nitrogen gas, and the bag is sealed again.
