The present invention provides a maggot extract and a preparation method thereof. The maggot extract is obtained by the following steps of the preparation: (a) weighing a certain amount of maggots and washing the same； (b) placing the washed maggots in a container and adding a buffer solution into the container so as to immerse the maggots in the buffer solution； (c) performing ultrasonic oscillation to the maggots inside the container to obtain a maggot extract mixed liquid； (d) performing centrifugal separation to the maggot extract mixed liquid to obtain a supernatant； and (e) removing the moisture of the supernatant to obtain a dry maggot extract powder. The use of the maggot extract is able to promote the proliferation of human epidermal cells.本發明係提供一種蛆萃取物及其製備方法，該蛆萃取物係以下列步驟之製備方法取得：(a) 秤取一定量之蛆，並加以清洗；(b) 將清洗後之蛆置於一容器內，加入一緩衝溶液，使蛆浸泡於該緩衝溶液中；(c) 對該容器內之蛆進行超音波震盪，取得一蛆萃取混合液；(d) 將該蛆萃取混合液進行離心分離，取得一上清液；及(e) 將該上清液的水分去除，即取得蛆萃取乾燥粉末。該蛆萃取物之用途，係可促使人體表皮細胞增生。
