PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric reel for fishing, suitable to be miniaturized (for space saving), allowing a user to smoothly perform a series of operations from thumbing to take-up of a spool while holding a fishing rod and a reel body in one hand by devising the setting position of an operating member for adjusting the motor output and a related angle sensor so that the operating member can be easily operated at a low position.SOLUTION: The electric reel for fishing includes the operating member 25 for adjusting the output of a drive motor. The operating member 25 is disposed in such a position that the thumb of a hand holding the fishing rod to which the reel is attached and the reel body 5 together in one hand can reach, above the spool and on the rear side of a display part 16.
