SOLUTION: The disposable diaper 10 includes a surface sheet 1 disposed on the skin surface side when it is worn, a back surface sheet disposed on the non-skin surface side, and an absorber 3 interposed between both the sheets. The disposable diaper 10 has a gap part between the absorber 3 and the back surface sheet in a natural shape, and a space height of the absorbent article of the gap part in the thickness direction is larger than the thickness of the absorber.
