PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable wearing article which increases air permeability in the inside of a diaper by a plurality of openings without impairing wearing feeling and prevents the leakage of excrement to the outside from the opening.SOLUTION: At least one of waist regions out of front and rear waist regions 13, 14 has an outer layer sheet 30 located on a non-skin facing surface side and an elastic layer 31 located on a skin facing surface side. The elastic layer 31 includes an intermediate sheet 32 located on the non-skin facing surface side, a moisture-permeable inner layer sheet 33 located on the skin facing surface side, and an elastic member 35, 36 which is interposed between the intermediate sheet 32 and the inner layer sheet 33 and extends in a lateral direction X. The outer layer sheet 30 and the elastic layer 31 are fixed to each other through a plurality of strips of joining parts 41, 42 extending in a longitudinal direction Y.
