PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable wearing article which has excellent touch to a skin by forming relatively large gathers on an inner surface and has an appearance like underwear by forming relatively small gathers on an outer surface.SOLUTION: At least a front waist region 13 out of front and rear waist regions 13, 14 of a disposable wearing article 10 includes outer layer sheets 33, 34 positioned on a non-skin-facing surface side, inner layer sheets 31, 32 positioned on a skin-facing surface side, and plural lines of waist elastic bodies extending in a lateral direction X between the inner and outer layer sheets 31-34. The inner and outer layer sheets 31-34 have a plurality of joining parts arranged at intervals in a vertical direction Y or the lateral direction X for respectively joining the inner layer sheets 31, 32 and the outer layer sheets 33, 34.
