PURPOSE: A method for preparing modified powder is provided to obtain lauroyl lysine-coated powder without a separate dehydration process. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing modified talc powder comprises: a step of dry-mixing powder with a hydroxyl group(-OH) at the terminal and lauroyl lysine in a reactor with a heating device and a stirring device; and a step of stirring the mixture of the powder and lauroyl lysine in the reactor at 80-200 deg. C and at 500-7000 rpm, and coating the surface of the talc powder with lauroyl lysine. The powder is selected from the group consisting of fine particulate titanium oxide(TiO_2), fine particulate zinc oxide, fine particulate silica, barium sulfate, silk powder, talc, mica, sericite, kaolin, titanium dioxide-coated mica, ferric oxide-coated mica, chromium oxide-coated mica, calcium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, aluminum silicate, magnesium sulfate, and surface-treated powder thereof.
