PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external preparation having an excellent moisture transpiration suppression effect and to provide a method for producing an external preparation.SOLUTION: There is provided an external preparation which comprises a hydrating oil agent, water and a closed endoplasmic reticulum formed by an amphiphilic substance or polycondensation polymer particles having a hydroxyl group, wherein the concentration of the hydrating oil agent is more than 0.015 mass% and a part of the hydrating oil agent is dispersed in an oil gel in a lyotropic spherical liquid crystal state. There is provided a method for producing an external preparation, which comprises a step of dispersing an O/W type emulsified liquid obtained by emulsifying and dispersing a hydrating oil agent in a water phase with an emulsifier composed of a closed endoplasmic reticulum formed by an amphiphilic substance in a water phase or polycondensation polymer particles having a hydroxyl group in an oil gel as a continuous phase, wherein at least a part of the hydrating oil agent forms a lyotropic spherical liquid crystal and the blending amount of the hydrating oil agent is 0.015 mass% or more relative to the external preparation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1【課題】水分蒸散抑制効果に優れた外用剤及び外用剤の製造方法を提供すること。【解決手段】外用剤は、抱水性油剤、水、及び両親媒性物質により形成された閉鎖小胞体又は水酸基を有する重縮合ポリマー粒子を含み、抱水性油剤濃度が0.015質量%超であって少なくとも一部がリオトロピック球状液晶状態で連続相としてのオイルゲル中に分散していることを特徴とする。外用剤の製造方法は、両親媒性物質が水相で形成する閉鎖小胞体、又は水酸基を有する重縮合ポリマー粒子、で構成された乳化剤によって抱水性油剤を水相に乳化分散したO/W型乳化液を、連続相としてのオイルゲル中に分散する工程を含み、抱水性油剤の少なくとも一部がリオトロピック球状液晶を形成し、抱水性油剤の配合量は、前記外用剤に対し0.015質量%以上である。【選択図】図1
