The present invention provides a new type of a mineral extraction method wherein a mineral extract, having various kinds of rich minerals and a high colloid degree, in a colloid state can be manufactured by eluting the minerals from sandstone in a simple and effective manner and a mineral extract manufactured by the same and is appropriate to be used as a raw cosmetic material. The mineral extraction method comprises the following steps: (i) grinding sandstone； (ii) adding purified water, ethanol, EDTA, etidronic acid, and phosphonic acid to the ground sandstone and mixing the same； (iii) allowing a mixture, obtained in step (ii) to be settled and separating a solid phase from a liquid phase in the mixture； (iv) collecting only the liquid phase from the mixture processed by step (iii)； and (v) obtaining a mineral extract by filtering the liquid phase, obtained in step (iv), with a micro-filter.본 발명은 사암으로 부터 미네랄을 간단하면서도 효과적으로 용출시켜서 다양한 종류의 미네랄이 풍부하면서도 교질도가 높은 콜로이드상태의 미네랄 추출액을 제조할 수 있는 새로운 방식의 미네랄 추출방법 및 이에 의해 제조되어 화장용 원료로 사용이 적합한 미네랄추출액을 제공하는 것으로서, (ⅰ)사암을 분쇄하는 과정； (ⅱ)분쇄된 사암에 정제수, 에탄올, 이디티에이(EDTA), 에티드로닉산(Etidronic acid), 포스폰산(Phosphonic acid) 첨가하고 교반시키는 과정； (ⅲ)상기 (ⅱ)과정에서 얻어진 교반물을 정치시켜서, 교반물 중의 고형분과 액상분을 분리시키는 과정； (ⅳ)상기 (ⅲ)과정을 거친 교반물에서 액상분만 수득하는 과정； 및 (ⅴ)상기 (ⅳ)과정에서 수득된 액상분을 마이크로 필터로 여과하여 미네랄 추출물을 수득하는 과정；을 포함하여 이루어진 것을 특징으로 한다.
