PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article having excellent liquid retention property and liquid-return prevention property, and having soft texture and excellent wearing property.SOLUTION: The absorbent article includes a surface layer 1, a leakage prevention layer 3, and absorber layer 2. A skin contact surface side of the absorber layer 2 includes thermally extensible fibers 21, and a plurality of extension restraining parts 22 scatteredly disposed.
