PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface sheet for an absorbent article, which can reduce surface liquid flow and is excellent in the shieldability of liquid absorbed by an absorbent and the transitivity of the liquid to the absorbent, and its manufacturing method.
SOLUTION: The surface sheet 1 for the absorbent article has first layer 1 and a second layer 2 both formed a nonwoven fabric, wherein the first layer 1 forms a skin abutting surface. Respective parts 13 and 23 of the first layer 1 and the second layer 2 are provided with many liquid guiding recessed parts 3 formed by being projected to the non skin abutting surface side, the first layer 1 and the second layer 2 are bonded with each other at parts other than the lower end part 31 of the liquid guiding recessed parts 3, and many bonding parts 4 are formed respectively in both of one direction of the plane direction of the surface sheet and a crossing direction crossing it. In any of both directions, the length between the bonding parts 4 adjacent to each other is longer in the first layer 1 than in the second layer 2.
