PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continue an observation without leaving a main image which is a main observation object and without interrupting an operation, thereby improving observation efficiency.SOLUTION: A medical image display device includes storage means, cross-sectional image generation means, display means, and first update means. The storage means stores volume data. Based on the volume data, the cross-sectional image generation means generates data on first to third cross-sectional images corresponding to at least two cross sections with mutually different angles. The display means displays the first and second cross-sectional images.
