The present invention is directed to beverage metal supplementation. More particularly, it is directed to a metal-containing complex coacervate core micelle comprising a negatively charged chelating agent, a low molecular weight natural food grade polymer cation, and water. It is also directed to a method of producing the metal-containing composite coacervate co-micelle and the use of the metal-containing composite coacervate co-micelle to replenish beverages with a metal source that is highly available to living organisms.
