PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyphenol derivative showing a stem cell factor action.SOLUTION: A polyphenol derivative is an amphiphilic low molecular weight compound including one molecule of polyphenol, two molecules of arginine and two molecules of ethyl phenol and acts as a stem cell factor-like ligand. Furthermore, when powderized, the polyphenol derivative reacts with purified water to generate hydrogen gas. Still furthermore, when used together with EGF, a synergistic action is found. The polyphenol derivative is utilized as cosmetics or nerve therapeutic agents.
