The invention relates to a process for manufacturing items such as orthopaedic stockings for adults and children, particularly meant to be worn in the conditions when the footwear cannot be used, and being employed for the medical recovery of individuals with orthopaedic, neurological, circulatory, dermatological disorders and diabetes. According to the invention, the process consists in manufacturing an elastic stocking with gradual compression selectively distributed between the anatomic shapes of the leg, ranging between 5...25 mmHg, made of spun yarns with a fineness of 7...35 tex and/or microfilament or polyfilament yarns or combinations thereof with a fineness of 7...25 tex, drawn or texturized, in combination with bare elastane yarns or covered, preferably with polyamide or cotton yarns with a fineness of 144...350 dtex with antibacterial and antistatic properties, in plain structure with elastic weft yarns, on circular stocking knitting machines, with customized sizes, and also in the manufacturing of a plantar orthosis with a lower support surface and with an upper support surface, complying with the shape of the foot plantar surface, made of homogenous or composite materials with a hardness of 10 degrees measured on Shore A scale and a thickness ranging between 1 and 30 mm, with antibacterial and antistatic properties, followed by the assembling of the plantar orthosis with the elastic stocking by means of permanent fixing or detachable elements, and in manufacturing the orthopaedic stocking and finally in applying a punctiform rubberized anti-slip layer onto the sole of the orthopaedic stocking.Invenţia se referă la un procedeu de realizare a unor articole de ciorapi ortopedici, pentru adulţi şi copii, destinaţi, în special, purtării în condiţii în care nu poate fi utilizată încălţămintea, folosiţi la recuperarea medicală a persoanelor cu afecţiuni ortopedice, neurologice, circulatorii, dermatologice şi diabet.
