The invention relates to a plant extract obtained from the aboveground part of a plant of the genus Aerva. The plant extract is advantageously obtained from the variety Aerva javanica (Burm.f.) Juss. ex Schult, by means of an extraction method comprising a step of contacting said aboveground part with at least one physiologically acceptable extraction solvent. The plant extract of this type is of interest in particular as a component of a composition of the cosmetic, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical or food type.L'invention concerne un extrait végétal obtenu à partir de la partie aérienne d'une plante du genre Aerva. L'extrait végétal est avantageusement obtenu à partir de la variété Aerva javanica (Burm. f.) Juss. ex Schult, à l'aide d'un procédé d'extraction comprenant une étape de mise en contact de ladite partie aérienne avec au moins un solvant d'extraction physiologiquement acceptable.
