PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a novel sweetener having sugar-like taste improving the taste of isomerized sugar liquid (such as glucose or fructose-mixed liquid sugar), and simultaneously preventing lifestyle-related disease such as obesity and use of the novel sweetener as material for food or drink.SOLUTION: The novel sweetener (product) is produced by adding D-tagatose to isomerized sugar liquid (such as D-glucose or D-fructose-mixed liquid sugar) to improve the taste of the isomerized sugar and also cause no obesity.
