PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To respond to a high-speed process by raising the speed of a seaweed bundle 90° turning motion and an aligning motion with a simple structure.SOLUTION: This seaweed bundle 90° turning-aligning apparatus includes a receiving plate 10, a seaweed bundle 90° turning device, a second carrying conveyor 27, a stopper 29, an aligning plate 28, an aligning device, a first timer, and a second timer. In this case, the receiving plate 10 receives a seaweed bundle 8 which has dropped from a convergence device, and turns the seaweed bundle 8 at 90°. The seaweed bundle 90° turning device includes a first carrying conveyor 9 which stops at the time of loading of the seaweed bundle 8 which has changed the direction at 90° from the receiving plate 10 descending from the top dead center, and starts after the loading, and carries the seaweed bundle 8. The second carrying conveyor 27 carries the seaweed bundle 8 which is carried by a carrying conveyor 9, stops at the time of the alignment, and carries out the seaweed bundle after the alignment. The stopper 29 stops the seaweed bundle 8 which enters. The aligning plate 28 aligns the seaweed bundle 8 by tapping it. The aligning device includes an entering sensor 30 which senses the seaweed bundle 8 which enters. The first timer counts the starting time of the stopping motions and the starting motions of the first carrying conveyor 9 and the receiving plate 10.
