Disclosed is an insertion implantation mechanism of a novel transplanter with a wide/narrow plant spacing, comprising several transversely arranged insertion implantation boxes (2), wherein each insertion implantation box (2) is provided with a left and right rotary box (4)； each rotary box (4) is provided with an insertion implantation arm (3) at two ends, respectively； the insertion implantation mechanism is provided with a transversely arranged main input shaft (1)； the main input shaft (1) is connected to each of the insertion implantation boxes (2), and connected to a power input end via a non-uniform-speed output variable transmission box； the variable transmission box comprises one or more variable gear pairs for switchable operation； and each variable gear pair consists of a driving gear (5-5) and a driven gear (5-6), each driving gear (5-5) being connected to the power input end via the respective transmission mechanism, and each driven gear (5-6) being connected to the main input shaft via the respective transmission mechanism. The mechanism can realize transplanting with a wide/narrow plant spacing so as to improve illumination and ventilation to increase the yield.
