PURPOSE: An Oryza Sativa L. extract is provided to suppress the expression of a gene of melanogenesis-related enzyme and to directly suppress melanogenesis, thereby showing superior whitening effects. CONSTITUTION: An ethanol extract of Oryza Sativa L. has whitening effect. Oryza Sativa L. is produced by artificial crossbreeding between Oryza sativa cv. Heugnambyeo and Milyang 153. The ethanol extract is prepared using 75-85 % ethanol. The ethanol extract suppresses melanogenesis and the expression of tyrosinase, TRP-1, and TRP-2 genes.본 발명은 미백활성이 있는 신토흑미(Oryza Sativa L.) 에탄올 추출물을 제공한다. 본 발명의 신토흑미 에탄올 추출물은 멜라닌 합성에 관여하는 효소의 유전자 발현을 억제하여 직접적으로 멜라닌 합성을 저해함으로써 확실한 미백 효과를 가져다줄 수 있으며, 미백 화장품 조성물 또는 건강기능보조 식품으로 활용이 가능하다.
