PURPOSE: A Ganoderma lucidum-derived novel compound, and an application thereof are provided to suppress tyrosinase activity and melanogenesis, and to be used in a cosmetic product or a pharmaceutical composition. CONSTITUTION: A compound or a salt thereof is denoted by chemical formula 1. The compound suppresses tyrosinase activity. A cosmetic composition for whitening contains the compound denoted by the chemical formula 1 as an active ingredient. A pharmaceutical composition for whitening contains the compound denoted by the chemical formula 1 as an active ingredient.본 발명은 영지버섯 유래 신규 화합물에 관한 것으로, 보다 구체적으로는 티로시나아제 활성 및 멜라닌 생합성을 저해하는 영지버섯 추출물 또는 에고스테롤 퍼옥사이드(ergosterol peroxide) 화합물과 가나도마난디올(ganodermanondiol) 화합물을 포함하는 화장품 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 의한 영지버섯 추출물 및 그로부터 분리된 화합물은 티로시나아제에 대하여 저해활성을 가지고, 특히 흑색종 세포에서의 티로시나아제 활성과 멜라닌 생합성에 대해 유의적인 저해효과가 나타내었으며, 이를 미백과 관련된 화장품 조성물로서 유용하게 이용될 수 있다.
