The present invention relates to a method of preparing an acryl glycinate salt and a personal cleansing composition using the acryl glycinate salt, and more specifically, to a method of preparing the acryl glycinate salt, which improves yield of reaction and purity of a product by using a small amount of a solvent that is safe to the human body； and a personal cleansing composition using the acryl glycinate salt. The personal cleansing composition of the present invention comprises acryl glycinate or a salt thereof obtained by using a method of preparing an acyl glycinate or a salt thereof, which comprises the step of making a solvent including dipropylene glycol react with a mixture of glycine and a fatty acid ester, wherein the fatty acid ester is a C_1-C_3 alkyl ester including a C_8-C_22 fatty acid. The method of preparing an acryl glycinate salt can remarkably improve yield of the reaction and purity of the product while using a small amount of a dipropylene glycol solvent that is safe to the human body.
