PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article capable of suppressing blockage of a compression groove and improving an absorption rate.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 1 comprises: a surface sheet 2； and an absorber 4 having a first absorber layer 11 and a second absorber 12, and comprises compression grooves 5 where the surface sheet and the absorber are compressed. The first absorber layer comprises: a center existence area 21 on a center part where an absorbent polymer exists； outside existence areas 22 on outsides thereof； and non-existence areas 31 provided between the center existence area and the outside existence area and having a small amount of the absorbent polymer. The compression grooves are positioned in the non-existence area 31, and are separated from the center existence area and the outside existence area.
