PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article excellent in persistence of antibacterial effect.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 1 comprises a top sheet 2, a rear surface sheet 3, and an absorber 4 arranged between both sheets, and has a vertical direction X and a transverse direction Y. The absorber 4 includes absorbent sheets 401, 402 containing a fiber material as the constituent members. The absorber 4 has at least in a central part in the transverse direction Y of the absorber 4, a laminate structure which includes a front face side absorbent sheet 41 positioned at a skin facing surface side, a rear surface side absorbent sheet 42 positioned at a non-skin facing surface side, and a center absorption part 43 positioned between both sheets.
