PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a stent capable of preventing such a problem as to cause local deformation in a stent when the diameter is reduced, and a production method of a stent delivery catheter capable of performing highly efficient production.SOLUTION: A balloon 61 for substantially equally and radially pressurizing a stent from the inside is inserted in the stent before a diameter is reduced. The diameter of the stent in which the balloon 61 is inserted is reduced to a prescribed final diameter. In a state where the diameter is reduced to the final diameter, or in a state where the diameter is reduced to a prescribed halfway-size diameter not reaching the final diameter, the balloon 61 is removed from the stent.
