An EEG-based positive airway pressure apparatus and an operation method thereof are presented, which includes a positive airway pressure machine, a state-sensing unit and a control unit. The positive airway pressure machine is initially operated in a conventional air-pressure-based control method until breath of a user is smooth. The state-sensing unit senses the sleep state of the user, and generates an execution signal after the user maintains in a non-rapid eye movement state for a predetermined time period.
