The present invention relates to an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic, whitening, anti-wrinkle, or gout suppressing composition comprising a Honggeum apple peel extract as an active ingredient. According to the present invention, the Honggeum (Malus pumila Mill.) apple peel extract, which is a new-cultivating variety, has an antioxidant effect by inhibiting DPPH radical, ABTS radical, and TBARs and increasing PF, and exhibits an effect of inhibiting the inflammatory reaction by inhibiting hyaluronidase activity. In addition, the extract maintains the elastin molecule form by inhibiting elastase activity, exhibits an anti-wrinkle effect by inhibiting collagenase activity, and exhibits a skin whitening effect by inhibiting tyrosinase and suppressing melanin production. Further, the Honggeum apple peel extract prevents diabetes by inhibiting &alpha；-amylase and &alpha；-glucosidase enzyme activities and exhibits an effect of inhibiting gout (arthritis) by inhibiting the activity of xanthine oxidase enzyme.
