PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for ameliorating the taste of a Piper longum extract-containing food/drink, that is, to provide such a food/drink which may feel warmness when taken, and is suppressed in both pungency and irritant feeling while leaving good flavor and deliciousness derived from the extract intact, and to provide a method for suppressing both pungency and irritant feeling while leaving good flavor and deliciousness derived from the extract intact in such a food/drink as to included such an amount of the extract as to be enough to make warmness when taken.

SOLUTION: The Piper longum extract-containing food/drink containing, on a dry powder basis, &ge0.2 wt.% of the extract is provided. In the food/drink, 0.1-70 pts.wt. of a milk fat and 0.1-30 pts.wt. of a lactoprotein, each based on 1 pt.wt. of the extract (on a dry powder basis), are included.
