PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a disposable paper diaper which is excellent in fittability when worn, facilitates a wearing operation and has a bonding portion making the appearance of the diaper product excellent and bonded at both side portions of a front body and a back body.SOLUTION: This production method includes: a step of producing a continuous sheet W1 for an exterior sheet a separately arranging step of separately arranging the continuous sheet W1 for the exterior sheet in a line width direction after cutting the sheet W1 along a line direction in the center of the width direction an elastically stretchable member cutting step of finely cutting an elastically stretchable member from the outer surface of the diaper for the separately arranged continuous sheet W1 for the exterior sheet a mechanically engaging type fastener means attaching step of detachably attaching the plurality of mechanically engaging type fastener means to the outer surface of the continuous sheet W for exterior sheet and a cutting step of bonding the absorbent body 10 onto the separately arranged continuous sheet W1 for exterior sheet in a state where the front body cut region regularly faces the back body cut region, and cutting the body 10 into respective products.
