PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pharmaceutical composition reduced in unpleasant taste such as bitter taste, though the composition contains zolpidem tartarate, and being applicable also to orally disintegrable tablet and to provide a method for producing the pharmaceutical composition.SOLUTION: The pharmaceutical composition comprises zolpidem tartarate and a basic substance and the composition is obtained by kneading the zolpidem tartarate with the basic substance in the presence of a solvent containing water.
