PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking type farming implement having a skid projecting obliquely downward to the rear in the rear of a lateral tilling rotary disposed under a machine body, and capable of efficiently controlling the head-up motion of the machine body.SOLUTION: The walking type farming implement includes the skid 21 disposed in the rear of the lateral tilling rotary 4 under the machine body 5 and inclined obliquely downward to the rear, and a steering handle 7 projecting obliquely upward in the rear of the machine body 5. The walking type farming implement performs tilling work by rotationally driving the tilling rotary 4 to the advancement side with an end 21a on the projecting side of the skid 21 inserted into the soil. In the farming implement, ground wheels 22, which can be fixed to the machine body 5 at a working position P2 where the wheels are in contact with a field, are disposed at positions close to the skid 21 between the skid 21 and the tilling rotary 4.
