PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking type tiller including an attachable/detachable skid at a rear end side of a machine body, and capable of stably detachably attaching the skid at the rear part of the machine body by a simple configuration.SOLUTION: The walking type tiller includes: a machine body 1 having a steering wheel 2 extending rearward a tilling rotary 3 rotatingly/drivingly supported at a lower side of the machine body 1 and a skid 4 detachably attached to the rear end side of the machine body. A base end of the steering wheel 2 is fixedly attached to the rear end side of the machine body, and a cylindrical mounting sleeve 16 extending vertically is integrally formed at the base end side of the steering handle 2.
