The present invention relates to artificial hair and to a manufacturing method thereof, and specifically, provides steps for manufacturing the artificial hair, which include: mixing a polyamide 6 powder and a masterbatch at a constant weight ratio； drawing the artificial hair from the mixture； forming a loop part by knotting the end part of the drawn artificial hair； cutting the end portion of the artificial hair leaving only 1 to 1.5 mm from a knot portion of the loop part； cutting the artificial hair to a predetermined length after cutting； and superimposing a plurality of cut artificial hairs on the hairs so as to set the artificial hairs, and also provides the artificial hair manufactured by the manufacturing method.
