The present invention relates to artificial reef and method for manufacturing the same. By injection-molding a raw material including a thermoplastic resin and manufacturing the product into an artificial reef, man hour and manpower for manufacturing the artificial reef are reduced, thereby maximizing productivity. Even when a defect occurs during the process of manufacture, the defected product can be recycled in the injection-molding. Therefore, waste of raw material due to faulty products can be prevented, not to mention prevention of costs and environmental pollution caused by waste disposal of defected products. According to the present invention, the artificial reef is manufactured by the injection-molding of raw materials including a thermoplastic resin, a dispersant, and a weight powder body including more than one kind among metal powder and sand. The method for manufacturing the artificial reef includes: a mixing step for thoroughly stirring the raw materials including the thermoplastic resin, dispersant, and weight powder body including more than one kind among metal powder and sand； a melting step for melting the mixed raw materials at 150 to 300°；C for 5 to 20 minutes to evenly mix the raw materials； an injection-molding step for extruding the molten raw materials into the shape of the artificial reef； and a cooling step for cooling the extruded product.본 발명은 열가소성수지를 포함하는 원료를 사출성형하여 인공어초로 제조함에 따라 제조공정에 소요되는 시간과 인력을 절감시켜 생산성이 극대화될 수 있도록 하며 제조 과정에서 제품의 불량이 발생하더라도 불량품이 사출성형을 위해 재사용 가능함에 따라 불량품으로 인해 원료가 낭비되는 것이 방지될 뿐만 아니라 불량품의 폐기처리로 인한 비용발생과 환경오염이 미연에 방지될 수 있도록 한 인공어초 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것이다.본 발명에 따른 인공어초는 금속분말과 모래 중 1종 이상의 중량분말체, 열가소성수지 및 분산제가 포함된 원료를 사출성형하여 제조되고, 본 발명에 따른 인공어초의 제조방법은, 금속분말과 모래 중 1종 이상의 중량분말체, 열가소성수지 및 분산제가 포함된 원료를 골고루 혼합되도록 교반하는 혼합단계와, 상기 혼합단계를 거쳐 골고루 혼합된 원료를 150 내지 300℃ 온도에서 5 내지 20분 동안 용융하여 골고루 혼합되도록 하는 용융단계와, 상기 용융단계에서 용융된 원료를 사출금형에 압출하여 인공어초의 형상으로 성형하는 사출성형단계와, 상기 사출성형단계를 거친 성형품을 냉각하여 완제품으로 제조하는 냉각단계를 포함한다.
