PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable and efficient method for forming a coating film on a powder and provide a solid compression molded item prepared by using the resultant coated powder and having excellent characteristics.SOLUTION: A powder and a solid coating agent having a melting point lower than that of the powder are mixed under heating at a temperature lower than the melting point of the coating agent to form coating film on the particle surface of the powder, thus giving the objective granulated powder.
