PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of heating and cooking food which can shorten a cooking time and reducing a time and effort of preparation before cooking and clearing up after cooking, and a heating cooker used for the method.SOLUTION: An object 30 to be heated is accommodated in a heating chamber 2 of the heating cooker. The heated object 30 is heated from the inside by a heated object internal heating means 6. Heating by the heated object internal heating means 6 is suspended when the temperature of the heated object 30 reaches a predetermined temperature or higher. The heated object 30 is heated from the outside by a heated object external heating means.
