#$%^&*AU2019201185A120190905.pdf#####ABSTRACT In preferred forms the present invention provides ready to eat perishable food products, such as table grapes, and comprises: receiving pre-chilled grape bunches from storage into one or more automated conveying production lines that are in one of a serial or parallel configuration； destemming the grape berries of the grape bunches by inducing rolling contact with a continuous web surface of a conveyor to gently remove the stems from the grape berries such that the grape berries remain substantially intact； washing the destemmed grape berries in a sterilizing wash solution； de-watering the washed destemmed grape berries by conveying the grape berries along an extended conveyor path with perforations or apertures to induce draining and evaporation of the residual wash solution adhering to the grape berries； weighing and filling punnets with grape berries； enclosing the grape berries in the punnets with a resealable film comprising micro apertures adapted for the respiration of grapes to extend shelf life of the ready to eat grape berries by providing one or a combination of a C02 rich environment or 02 poor environment in the punnet.
