PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which: in a front mower, a mid-mounted mower or the like which performs grass mowing work by mounting a mower deck on a vehicle body, it is known that long grass contacts a steering case and a steering front wheel part in a state that a front wheel can be steered, and is liable to be rolled into the front wheel part, and in a state that the whole face of the inside face of a tire is covered with a plate cover as indicated in a patent literature 1, foreign matters such as grass and stones are caught between contact opposing faces of the fixed plate cover and the tire, the gap between both the contact faces is gradually expanded, and the grass is liable to be rolled around the wheel.SOLUTION: In a steering front wheel of a sulky mower, a wheel cover 5 which covers the clearance between the outside peripheral part of a steering case 3 and the inside peripheral part of a wheel rim 4 of a steering front wheel 1 is arranged on the outside face of the steering case 3 which is pivotally mounted with a wheel 2 of the steering front wheel 1 which is rotated by transmission, and a cover edge 6 being the external periphery of the wheel cover 5 is made to approximate to a rotation curved internal peripheral face 8 of a rim edge 7 which is shaped so as to curve toward the outside of the wheel rim 4.COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT【課題】車体にモアデッキを装着して草刈取作業するフロントモアや、ミッドモア等において、前輪を操向できる形態では、操向ケース、乃至操向前輪部に、長い草が接触して、前輪車軸部に巻込まれ易くなることが知られている。前記特許文献1の如き、タイヤの内側面全面に亘ってプレートカバーで覆う形態では、固定のプレートカバーとタイヤとの接触対向面間に草や石礫等の異物が咬込まれて、両者接触面間隔を順次拡開して、草の車軸に対する巻付が行われ易くなる。【解決手段】伝動回転される操向前輪1の車軸2を軸装する操向のケース3の外側面に、この操向ケース3の外側周縁部と、前記操向前輪1のホイルリム4の内側周縁部との間に亘って覆うホイルカバー5を設け、このホイルカバー5の外周縁であるカバーエッジ6を、前記ホイルリム4の外側へ湾曲形成のリムエッジ7の回転湾曲内周面8に接近させることを特徴とする乗用草刈機の操向前輪の構成とする。【選択図】図1
