The present invention relates to a method of cultivating a small bamboo and the small bamboo cultivated by the method, wherein the bamboo is capable of being cultivated into the small bamboo as a result by suppressing the growth of the bamboo in a growth process of naturally growing the bamboo to further extend utilization value of the bamboo by dividing the bamboo into bamboo for landscaping and bamboo for potted plant. The present invention relates to a method which not only reuses the small bamboo, but also cultivates the small bamboo into small bamboo of merchantable quality by providing a protecting matrix that is capable of resisting growth of bamboo shoot during the bamboo growing process, thereby separating the small bamboo when the bamboo shoot is grown into small bamboo. A method of cultivating a small bamboo according to the present invention includes forming a body which envelops and fixes an outer circumferential surface of one part of bamboo shoot, and which accommodates the bamboo shoot, forming a fixing unit which is formed on the one part of the body, and to which one part of an elastic member having a predetermined length is capable of being connected, and connecting and fixing the elastic member having a predetermined length connected to the fixing unit to a fixing member on the ground to suppress growth of the bamboo shoot.
