PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition having a preventing, improving and/or treating effect for diabetes mellitus.SOLUTION: There are provided a pharmaceutical composition containing the extract of Jerusalem artichoke fermented by genus Lactobacillus sp. as an active constituent for preventing and treating diabetes mellitus and a health food composition.
