PURPOSE: A cationic antibacterial compound is provided to ensure excellent antibacterial activity and to enable simple and cheap preparation.CONSTITUTION: A cationic antibacterial compound is denoted by chemical formula 1. The antibacterial compound is prepared by reacting alkyl dimethyl amine with epichlorohydrin in a solvent. The solvent is selected from the group consisting of water, ethanol, isopropyl alcohol, ethyl acetate, acetone, benzene, and toluene. Epichlorohydrin is reacted using 0.9-1.1 of equivalent at 0-90 deg.
