FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to reproductive gynaecology, and can be used for treating infertility in patients with chronic endometritis. Photodynamic therapy (PDT) of the uterine cavity is performed at wave length 662 nm with preliminary local photosensitization of the endometrium with a photosensitizer solution based on a chlorine E6 glucamine salt. Photoditasine photosensitizer is introduced as a photosensitizer, which is introduced into the uterus cavity after washing with physiologic saline. After 15–25 minutes, the uterine cavity is washed to remove the free photosensitizer. That is followed by a balloon catheter for a photodynamic therapy which is filled with physiologic saline. That is followed by an ultrasonic examination of the uterus. Uterine cavity longitudinal and transverse dimensions are determined, and the endometrial surface area (S, cm) is calculated with a filled balloon for determining the laser radiation power (P, W), which is calculated by the formula P = PS × S, where P is laser radiation power, W; P S is a given laser radiation power density of 0.05–0.06 W/cm2; S is endometrial surface area, cm2. That is followed by a photodynamic therapy with calculated power of laser radiation. In the process of laser exposure, the ultrasonic sensor is inspected every 2–5 minutes and if the endometrial hyperechogenicity is detected within range of 50–85 standard units (cu), the photodynamic action is terminated.
