PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilization method which easily and reliably sterilizes an optional wide area not provided with a sterilization facility nor using medicine liquid or the like and seldom adversely affects a human body or a sterilization object during and after sterilization processing in comparison with the case of using a conventional ultraviolet ray sterilizing lamp.SOLUTION: In the surface sterilization method, an irradiation object 3 which is &ge1 m apart from a light source is irradiated with light (near ultraviolet rays 4) which has a maximal value of light intensity between 400 nm and 410 nm for at least two hours while maintaining the intensity of the near ultraviolet rays 4 on the surface of the sterilization object 3 to 0.82 mW/cm2 or larger.COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT【課題】殺菌設備を備えない任意の広範なエリアを薬剤等を用いることなく容易かつ確実に殺菌するとともに、従来の紫外線殺菌灯を用いる場合に比べて殺菌処理中又はその後も人体や被殺菌対象に対して悪影響を及ぼす恐れがはるかに少ない殺菌方法を提供する。【解決手段】光源から1m以上離れた被照射対象3に400nm~410nmに光強度の極大を有する光(近紫外光4)を被殺菌対象3の表面における近紫外光4の強度を0.82mW/cm2以上に保って少なくとも2時間照射することを特徴とする表面殺菌方法による。【選択図】図1
