The present invention relates to a rapid freezing apparatus for food, which comprises: a freezing chamber in which a freezing space for rapidly freezing food is formed a plurality of freezing conveyors disposed in the freezing space so that the freezing conveyors are vertically multi-stagely arranged so as to transport food in different directions, and conveying the food from the upper side to the lower side in a zigzag manner and a quench nozzle installed at an upper portion of the freezing space to discharge a refrigerant for quenching the food by the freezing conveyor means.
